To see, to do

In Summer or Winter, Jura is one of the most prefered area by tourists, they love its lakes, rivers and waterfalls, its gastronomy, wines, cheeses and local crafts

Walking and Mountain-biking : You can practise hill-walking or mountain-biking directly from the cottages, because many paths whose G.R. 559 pass on the ground or in the vicinity.

Herisson Waterfalls :15 km from the cottages after Doucier, in the heart of the area of the lakes, you will be able to discover the Hérisson.

Le Cirque de Baume les Messieurs :The view-point of the cirque de Baume is up to 7 km from the cottages, you can get there easily by car, or better reach the many points of view dissimulated in the forest during the one of your your walkik or mountain-biking.

Lakes and rivers area :Many lakes: Blye (4 km), Chalain (10 km), Vouglans (10 km), Clairvaux (14 km) for the principal ones, where you can practise water sports, bathing, canoeing and sailing.
Many rivers: Ain, Seille, Hérisson..., where you can walk in freshness, bath or practise canoeing.

The Jurassian Vineyard : From Revermont in Arbois while passing by Pupillin the Jurassic vines offer you tasting wines of characters which never leave indifferent.

Other activities :

- In winter, cross-country skiing to 30 km.
- Strolls equestrian in various centers in the neighbourhoods.
- Microlight
- Many caves to be visited.
- Hiring of canoe, Kayak, moutain-bike.
- Many museums (archaeology, pipes and stones invaluable, of salt...).

Rates Open all year , the Gîtes des Montaigners, can accommodate groups from 6 to 36 people. Tariffs are for a week and differ according the period of the year. You cannot rent for a week-end in French school holidays period (to read more....)
